In August, the ranking battle was reborn: the ideal water was cut back, and the world was squeezed into the "over 10,000" camp.

On September 1, in addition to Tesla and BYD, the new force car companies released their sales in the past month. Like last month, the sales ranking of the new car-making forces is full of variables.

Judging from the existing rankings, Nezha Auto and Zero Run Auto continue to lead, Weilai Auto has stabilized its sales in August, Xpeng Motors’s performance is slightly weak, and LI is seriously behind. In addition, the growth rate of Ai ‘an, AITO and Krypton is particularly rapid.

In the past August, the sales volume of Ai ‘an once again broke 20,000. According to the sales data released by Ai ‘an, the overall sales volume in August was 27,021 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 133%, reaching a new high. From January to August, the cumulative sales volume has reached 152,305 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 134%.

Nezha Automobile continued to outperform Weixiaoli, delivering 16,017 vehicles, up 142% year-on-year. Among them, 5,781 vehicles were delivered by Nezha U Car Series and 10,236 vehicles were delivered by Nezha V Car Series. Excluding Nezha’s ability to make money, it is a "dark horse".

The zero-running cars that followed closely in August delivered a total of 12,525 vehicles, exceeding 180% year-on-year. Monthly delivery ranked second, hitting a record high in April. At the same time, the cumulative delivery volume from January to August 2022 also reached 76,563 vehicles, rising from the fourth place to the third place.

Weilai Automobile delivered a total of 10,677 new cars in August, up 81.6% year-on-year and 6.22% quarter-on-quarter. Compared with the delivery volume in June and July this year, the month-on-month increase in August was not significant, but the delivery volume showed a warming trend.

From January to August this year, Weilai delivered a total of 71,556 new cars, a year-on-year increase of 28.3%. By the end of August, Weilai vehicles had delivered 238,626 vehicles. According to the official, the 2022 ES8, ES6 and EC6 equipped with Alder intelligent system and the new car Weilai ES7 have been delivered one after another, and the delivery of the intelligent electric flagship car ET7 is also stepping up. Weilai’s product switching season has basically ended this year.

On the whole, Weilai can’t be said to be brilliant in August, but at least it stabilized its sales after completing the product update.

Tucki’s promotion is also weak, and I want to roll myself.

Compared with Weilai, Tucki and the ideal new and old models have a greater response.

In August, Xpeng Motors delivered a total of 9,578 vehicles, ranking lower. Although it increased by 33% year-on-year, the chain decreased by 16.89%. Among them, Tucki P7 delivered 5,745 vehicles, Tucki P5 delivered 2,678 vehicles and Tucki G3 series delivered 1,155 vehicles. At the same time, the cumulative delivery volume in the first eight months of this year was 90,085 vehicles, which has been surpassed by the cumulative delivery volume of automobiles in Nezha.

It is worth noting that this is the result of Tucki’s price reduction promotion since July. In June and July this year, the monthly sales volume of Tucki was 15,295 and 11,524 respectively, and the result of less than 10,000 vehicles in August showed that low-key price reduction could not stop its downward trend.

At the same time, there may also be reasons for the listing of new cars. According to the plan, Tucki G9 will be officially listed in September this year and is expected to be delivered in October. Therefore, although Jin Jiu has entered this month, Tucki may still be under pressure.

Compared with Tucki, LI’s sales volume in August hit a new low since the delivery of 4,323 vehicles in May 2021.

LI delivered a total of 4,571 vehicles in August, down 52% year-on-year and 56% quarter-on-quarter. The cumulative delivery volume this year is 75,396 vehicles. Among the five mainstream new energy vehicle companies, the delivery volume of LI dropped the most in August, compared with 10,422 vehicles in July.

There are roughly two theories on the market about the reasons for the sharp decline in ideal sales. First of all, there are many competing products for new cars recently, and both M7 and Tengshi D9 may shake the users who were originally optimistic about their ideals.

Secondly, the mode of "only relying on ONE model to conquer the world" in LI has been broken. After the ideal L9 goes on the market, it may cause users in Li ONE to choose upwards. However, Ideal delivered the flagship SUV Ideal L9 in August, but the new car was delivered only on August 30th, which contributed little to the sales of that month.

At the same time, the L8, LI’s third production car with similar positioning to Li ONE, will be released soon. Shen Yanan, co-founder and president of LI, said that the Ideal L8 will be released in early November this year, and the delivery will start in the same month. This has led some ideal car owners to choose to wait and see, and to understand it from another angle is also the result of their ideal self-volume.

AITO asked the world to break through ten thousand, and krypton followed closely.

AITO, which has also received much attention, has seen a rapid increase in sales under the blessing of Huawei. Aito delivered 10,045 vehicles in August, up 12,778% year-on-year and nearly 40% quarter-on-quarter, and its sales volume exceeded 10,000 vehicles for the first time.

At present, there are two models on sale in the world: M5 and M7, of which the first batch of delivery was started on August 24th. Last month, Cyrus sold more than 10,000 yuan, or mainly M5, and at the same time, it also relied on Cyrus Phoenix Factory to start production, which released some sales of M7.

Geely Automobile’s Krypton also caught up in August. The sales volume reached 7,166 vehicles, up 42.7% from the previous month, and the cumulative delivery reached 37,205 vehicles.

Although there is only one model of Krypton 001 on sale at present, its delivery volume is also increasing step by step. The official also revealed that after the order of Krypton 001 broke through 10,000 in April and July, the large order of Krypton 001 (a non-refundable deposit of 5,000 yuan) continued to break through 10,000 in August.

In addition, Dongfeng’s Lantu delivered a total of 2,429 new cars in August, up 495% year-on-year and 35% quarter-on-quarter. Lantu did not announce the total sales volume this year, but only revealed the cumulative delivery volume of 17,891 vehicles since the first delivery in August 2021. Zhiji, a subsidiary of SAIC, sold 1,007 vehicles in August. Since the nationwide delivery was started in mid-June, Zhiji L7 has delivered 2,058 vehicles, ranking at the bottom of the list.

As can be seen from the delivery volume in August, some new energy vehicle companies are still happy and some people are worried, the ranking is once again disrupted, and the competition is intensifying. Their fluctuating sales also suggest that there are still many uncertainties in the auto market in the second half of the year.
